NOCAPThe Internet’s Lie Detector
NOCAP analyzes audio, images and video for signals associated with AI-generated or manipulated media. Its results help users investigate questionable content without presenting automated signals as definitive proof. Signals, not proof.
Why we built it
Convincing synthetic media is now easy to make and hard to question. Most tools answer with a single opaque score. NOCAP takes a different position: show people the individual signals — metadata, compression, spectral and temporal patterns — and let them weigh the evidence. It’s a second opinion, not a verdict.
For Anomaly X, NOCAP is also proof of practice: one team carrying a product from idea to live beta, across mobile, backend, cloud and product design.
What NOCAP does
Audio scan
Analyzes recorded or uploaded audio for spectral and consistency signals associated with synthetic or manipulated speech.
Photo & video scan
Inspects images and video frames for metadata, compression, texture and temporal-consistency signals.
Screenshot trust check
Reads visible text from a screenshot and flags common scam-pressure and manipulation patterns in conversations.
Evidence-first results
Every scan shows the individual signals behind the verdict, so users can judge the evidence themselves instead of trusting a single number.
NOCAP is experimental and provides risk indicators, not final truth. Results are signals meant to inform a user’s own judgment — not proof that content is real, fake, authentic or manipulated.
What Anomaly X built
Every layer of NOCAP was designed and engineered in-house:
- Product strategy and positioning
- Mobile experience design
- Flutter application development
- Authentication and account systems
- API architecture and backend services
- Cloud deployment and operations
- PostgreSQL application data
- Asynchronous video processing
- Usage quotas and entitlement systems
- Privacy-conscious media workflows
- Beta-launch preparation on TestFlight
Status, support and policies
NOCAP is currently in a closed iOS alpha distributed through TestFlight, with external TestFlight access in preparation. It is not yet available on the App Store. The canonical product, support and legal pages live on nocapapp.ai:
NOCAP support: support@nocapapp.ai. Account deletion requests are handled through NOCAP support — see the privacy policy for details.
